About Ceilidh Bands and Piping Hot
Ceilidh bands have been the heart and soul of traditional Scottish, Irish, Celtic, and English celebrations for generations, bringing people together through lively and infectious dance music.
The term “ceilidh” (pronounced “kay-lee”) comes from the Gaelic word for a social gathering, and these events are renowned for their spirited, inclusive atmosphere. Ceilidh music typically features a mix of fiddles, bagpipes, accordions, and whistles, delivering an energetic blend of jigs, reels, polkas, and waltzes that get everyone on their feet.
